How to choose a women's heated jacket

Start with length. A long heated puffer or parka covers the hips and the backs of the thighs, the parts that get cold first when you stand still at a sideline or a bus stop. A short heated jacket is lighter and better for driving, cycling and errands. A heated fleece works as a mid-layer under a shell or on its own in spring and autumn.

Then think about weather. Most Genovega heated jackets have a wind- and water-resistant shell; the long hooded style adds a fully waterproof outer for sleet and wet snow. Detachable hoods let one jacket cover both clear and stormy days.

Graphene heating zones, battery and runtime

The heat comes from graphene panels on the chest, back and collar; some styles add sleeves or a fifth panel for 360-degree warmth. Graphene spreads heat evenly and warms within about a minute. Three heat levels let you trade warmth against battery life: low for walking, medium for standing, high for real cold.

Jackets run on a 12V 18400mAh pack or a 7.4V pack, both rechargeable over USB and both able to charge a phone in an emergency. A spare 12V power bank is the easiest way to stretch heat across a full outdoor shift.

Fit, layering and care

Order your usual coat size; the panels sit inside the lining and do not need extra room. Layer a thin base under the jacket so the heat reaches you without being trapped by thick knitwear. Before washing, unplug and remove the battery, close the zips and use a gentle cycle in a laundry bag, then dry flat.

Heated Jackets questions

What size heated jacket should I order?

Your regular coat size. Genovega heated jackets run from S to 3XL; choose one size up only if you want an oversized puffer look or plan to wear a thick sweater underneath.

How long does the battery last?

On low, a 12V 18400mAh pack runs a jacket for most of a working day; on high, expect several hours. Cold temperatures shorten runtime, so keep the pack inside the jacket.

Are heated jackets safe?

Yes. The graphene panels run at low voltage with three fixed heat levels, and the jacket only heats while the battery is connected and switched on.

Can the battery charge my phone?

Yes. The battery packs have USB outputs, so they can top up a phone when the jacket is not using the power.
